Type of milestone: Iron Plate (Missing) on Stone

Notes: According to an early Ordnance Survey map, this milestone once gave the distances to Bristol (16¼ miles) and London (104 miles – presumably Hyde Park Corner). However, it isn't on any direct route between Bristol and London, so it's likely to have been intended more as a signpost, and perhaps also a status symbol for the Duke of Beaufort who lived in Badminton House nearby.
